I genuinely appreciate your outreach by phone on Sunday evenings to residents of all villages.

I am one of thousands of Ramapo residents who is tired of hearing abstract ideas and principles.

I realize that you would be inheriting a nightmare in your ambitious attempt to first define where we are and then make changes to the governance of Ramapo

If you are elected, I want to know, and have access to, SPECIFIC outreach- concrete proposals to businesses and or corporations your party has prepared to address the following:

    The Novartis plant site

The defunct old Grand union shopping center on Airmont and RT 59

The defunct Drive in Theater on Rt 59 in Spring Valley

    The Quarry

My definition of proactive requires one to have certain VERY SPECIFIC plans and audiences to reach out to

Without this, forward moving plans, will remain in the dream state

    Impress me please

I am contacting you because one of the employees in my company would like to attend the Grace WanderWaal Hopes for Change event on Oct. 25, 2017. What is New Direction for Ramapo? Is it a political party? It it a joint fund raising committee? What portion of the ticket price paid to go to the event will go to the campaign of any of the candidates?

I am a bit surprised to have not heard either of the party’s running for office comment on last week’s developments Re: Ateres Bais Yaakov and their being shut down by the county. The building department gave a temporary permit, which was approved by the state monitor, for property that was unsafe and illegal. Clearly the monitor is not the solution and the building inspector is still failing to do its job. How will you fix this problem?

I have suspended my door to door canvassing on your behalf until I receive a satisfactory written explanation by email, from the 3 candidates directly, for why you felt it necessary to criticize Ed Day in connection with the outrageous Ateres Bais Yaakov situation in New Hempstead. You still have my vote in November, but largely because anything is better than keeping St. Lawrence’s cronies in office. But as far as I am concerned, I strongly support Ed Day speaking out on the issue; the blame falls on the Ramapo and village governments and the state officials involved. It should be Ramapo’s job to find a temporary location for the school, which they ended up doing, at the Stadium. The school is fully to blame as well, because just saying they were covered by the COO is disingenuous when they knew full well the problem they created. We have as similar problem here in Chestnut Ridge, at 3 Spring Hill Terrace, where the village building inspector gave a COO for a garage – a 2 story structure, with radiant floor heating, upper mezzanine, and several bathrooms, which is clearly being used for a Chasidic synagogue, run by a Brooklyn rabbi who is only there on the weekends and holidays.

Your criticism of Day on this matter just smells of pandering to the orthodox community.

I’d like to put a lawn sign on my property (corner of 202 and Babbling Brook Ln in Montebello). How can I get a sign?

I came across an invitation on Facebook for a meet and greet 10/10. I am a member of Rockland United, and we’d like to share this event in today’s newsletter – which goes out to over 600 people across Rockland. Is this event ok to share? Is there an RSVP?

You called me 8 times so far today. That’s excessive and you will lose my support if you don’t restrict your number of calls.

I came to the website to get information about the people and the platform. From a people standpoint I am not at all confident in the resumes or backgrounds, very nebulous.

What is your platform? Nothing on this site talks about the direction you want to take this very dysfunctional town and its equally dysfunctional school system. How about how you will work with County initiatives to provide a system the severely punishes those who ignore the basic rules, ordinances and laws. And how about some comment on the insane lack of ROI in the tax system here.

    Thanks,

I’ve been carrying around petitions, and I’ve got only one left. What should I do? Photocopy the blank one or will you email me more to print out? I see there’s a download link below, but it’s asking for a credit card, and I’d rather not give it.

Hi, Deb, Asked me to download the petition for signatures, which are needed by Friday, but I don’t see it.

    Thank you.
